My prompt from her was "Mikey trapped underground with the brothers trying to save him."
This picture went through many changes. My original idea was to have Raph jumping down through a manhole and the others looking in with surprise from above. Another idea was to have Mikey being dragged down a manhole with the other 3 looking at him from behind in shock. I eventually settled with this pose and perspective due to time constraints and my inability for... perspectiveness... XD
I placed Raph at the front because, in TMNT 2012 lore, he is the closest to Mikey (I'm unsure if this also goes for the other series'). I tried to place a lot of shock and urgency on his face and actions. For Donnie, I had the mindset that he'd be damned if he didn't try his hardest to get his brother back. Leo... well, I've never drawn him with such ferocity. For him, I had the idea that he is willing to do anything to protect his little brother from harm (I also gave him sort of an Edward Elric face, haha). Mikey, well I tried giving his look a mix of shock and fear at suddenly being taken from the others.
I wasn't sure how to draw him being taken away, so I decided to create a dark entity pulling him into the shadows.
